Dear CIRI Golf Classic invitee:
I am sending this message on behalf of Sophie Minich, President & CEO of CIRI.
It is with a heavy heart that I write to let you know that we have cancelled the 37th annual CIRI Golf Classic, originally scheduled for August 7, 2020. This is not a decision we made lightly, but it is the right course of action in light of the unknown short-term and long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We very much appreciate your contributions and participation in our past events, and we look forward to welcoming our friends and family back for this event in August of 2021.
Thank you for all you have done to raise funds that benefit youth and education throughout the years of your participation in the CIRI Golf Classic. Please stay safe and take good care of yourselves.
The CIRI Golf Classic
ABOUT US: The CIRI Golf Classic is an annual charitable event that originated in 1983 by Peak Oilfield Service Co. colleagues. It was originally called the Peak Alaska Invitational Golf Tournament. CIRI took over the planning and coordination of the tournament two years later and raised $2,600 for youth and education.
For the first 18 years of the tournament, the money raised supported The CIRI Foundation, which awards scholarships and grants to CIRI shareholders and their lineal descendants and supports other cultural endeavors. When the Foundation reached its endowment goal, the focus of the tournament expanded to benefit other worthy programs focusing on youth and education.
2020 Proceed Recipients: Solicitation for will open on January 1, 2020 and close on February 21, 2020. To download an application, please click on “Proceed Recipients” tab above. Thank you.
