Dear CIRI Golf Classic Golfers:
This message is on behalf of Sophie Minich, President and CEO of CIRI.
Welcome to the CIRI Golf Classic. Please note that CIRI has not confirmed the vaccination status of Golf Classic participants, employees of the venue or other third-party vendors. As such, all attendees to the Golf Classic are advised to follow current COVID-19 precautions. Thank you.
The 2021 CIRI Golf Classic is scheduled to be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Moose Run Hill Course! The Tournament Director at Moose Run reports they will be in standard operations by that time, but if anything changes, we will advise you.
We are also pleased to inform that we are sold out! A big “thank you” to all of the teams that registered to play, along with our many sponsors.
There will be no application process for proceed recipients for the 2021 CIRI Golf Classic. Because the 2020 CIRI Golf Classic was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic, we have select 2021 recipients from the list of 2020 applicants.
Thank you and hope to see you on the links in August!
The CIRI Golf Classic
ABOUT US: The CIRI Golf Classic is an annual charitable event that originated in 1983 by Peak Oilfield Service Co. colleagues. It was originally called the Peak Alaska Invitational Golf Tournament. CIRI took over the planning and coordination of the tournament two years later and raised $2,600 for youth and education.
For the first 18 years of the tournament, the money raised supported The CIRI Foundation, which awards scholarships and grants to CIRI shareholders and their lineal descendants and supports other cultural endeavors. When the Foundation reached its endowment goal, the focus of the tournament expanded to benefit other worthy programs focusing on youth and education.
2021 Proceed Recipients: Because of COVID, the 2020 tournament was cancelled. For 2021, we will be selecting proceed recipients from the 2020 applicants and will announce which nonprofit(s) will be selected in June. Stay tuned.
